TheraPeeps delivers in-home pediatric occupational therapy to families throughout Sunnyvale. Our therapists come to your home, so there is no clinic to drive to and no commute on your end. We serve neighborhoods across the city, including Murphy Avenue, downtown Sunnyvale, Lakewood Village, and areas near Lawrence Expressway and Route 237.
Sunnyvale families often come to us after months on clinic waitlists or long drives to Palo Alto or Mountain View. We built our practice to eliminate that barrier. Your child receives therapy in their own environment, and our scheduling is designed to work around dual-income households and demanding careers at LinkedIn, Apple, Google, AMD, and other employers in the corridor.
We bring the full scope of pediatric occupational therapy directly to Sunnyvale families. Whether your child needs support with sensory integration therapy processing, SOS Approach feeding therapy challenges, or emotional regulation, our team delivers that care in your child’s natural environment. No formal diagnosis is required to begin services.
Services we provide in Sunnyvale:
Our team works with children across a wide range of presentations, always through a neuro-affirming, relationship-first lens. Families reach us through pediatrician referrals, school team concerns, and direct inquiries. No referral is required to schedule an evaluation.
Conditions and challenges we support:
TheraPeeps is built for families managing full work schedules and limited availability. Here is what that looks like in practice.
TheraPeeps is a private-pay practice. We provide detailed superbills after every session so you can submit directly to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
Many PPO plans through employers such as LinkedIn, Apple, Google, AMD, and Juniper Networks carry out-of-network benefits for pediatric occupational therapy. Plans administered through Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, or UnitedHealthcare often reimburse 60 to 80 percent of allowed charges once your deductible is met. We recommend calling member services before your first session and asking specifically about out-of-network benefits for pediatric OT using CPT codes 97165, 97166, 97167, and 97530.
Contact us at (650) 204-0677 for current session rates and evaluation fees. We are happy to walk you through the superbill process.
Also serving: pediatric OT in Mountain View, pediatric OT in Cupertino, pediatric OT in Santa Clara.
Yes, and many of our Sunnyvale families find this is one of the most valuable parts of working with us. We provide detailed superbills after every session that include the therapist’s NPI, our tax ID, the CPT codes billed, and the diagnosis codes supporting your child’s treatment. Most major tech employer PPO plans, including those administered by Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare, accept these documents for out-of-network reimbursement. We recommend calling your plan’s member services line before we begin and asking specifically about OON benefits for pediatric OT. Families with strong tech employer plans often recover a meaningful percentage of their investment.
Genuinely flexible, and this is something we’ve built intentionally for dual-income families. We offer morning sessions (starting as early as 8:00 a.m.), midday windows that can work for hybrid schedules, and select late-afternoon availability. Because we come to your home, there’s no drive time on your end, which often makes a slot work that wouldn’t otherwise. We also try to hold consistent weekly times so you can plan around therapy rather than rescheduling each week. When you call us, let us know your work situation and we’ll be direct about what we can accommodate.
Yes. We serve families throughout Sunnyvale, including the Murphy Avenue corridor, downtown Sunnyvale, Lakewood Village, and neighborhoods near Lawrence Expressway, El Camino Real, and Mathilda Avenue. If you’re not sure whether your address falls within our service area, call us at (650) 204-0677, we’re happy to confirm coverage before you invest time in the intake process.
A TheraPeeps evaluation is a structured clinical assessment, typically 60–90 minutes, conducted in your home. We observe your child in their natural environment, gather detailed history through a caregiver interview, and use standardized tools appropriate for your child’s age. Because we’re SIPT and STAR certified, we bring a high level of specificity to sensory evaluations, we’re not guessing, we’re measuring. After the evaluation, we provide a written report with findings and specific treatment recommendations. Evaluations are a separate fee from ongoing therapy sessions.
We work with many autistic children, and our approach is intentionally neuro-affirming. Brooke Olson, our founder, is Board Certified in Autism and trained in DIR/Floortime, a developmental, relationship-based model that works with your child’s nervous system rather than trying to shape compliance. We do not use ABA-adjacent methods. If your child needs support with sensory regulation, feeding, motor skills, or emotional regulation, we’d love to talk about whether we’re the right fit for your family.
