TheraPeeps Occupational Therapy Services is a mobile pediatric practice founded by Brooke Olson, OTR/L. We serve children ages 0 through 8 across Campbell, including families near Campbell Union School District schools like Capri Elementary and Forest Hill Elementary. We have never tried OT before, what should we expect from the process?

That is one of the most common things we hear from Campbell families, and it is completely okay. The process starts with a phone consultation where we listen to your concerns and answer your questions. If we move forward, we schedule a comprehensive evaluation, typically 60 to 90 minutes in your home, where we observe your child’s movement, play, sensory responses, and functional skills. After that, we share what we found in plain language, discuss our recommendations, and build a treatment plan together. We go at your pace and make sure you feel informed at every step.

Is pediatric OT affordable without insurance coverage?

My child has sensory meltdowns but has not been diagnosed with anything, can you still help?

Yes. You do not need a diagnosis to begin OT. Many of the children we work with come to us because a parent or teacher noticed something, difficulty with transitions, extreme reactions to sounds or textures, trouble calming down, but there is no formal label yet. Our evaluation looks at your child’s full sensory and developmental profile and helps us understand what is driving the behavior. From there, we build a plan that targets the root cause, not just the surface behavior.

How is TheraPeeps different from school-based OT my child might already be getting?

If your child receives OT through Campbell Union School District, that service is specifically designed to help them access their education, meaning it focuses on what your child needs to function and participate in a classroom setting. TheraPeeps works on the full picture of your child’s development, including sensory regulation, feeding, emotional skills, play, and everything that happens outside of school. We also work in your home, which means we can directly support routines like mealtimes, getting dressed, and bedtime transitions. Many families use both, and we are happy to collaborate with school OTs to make sure the two approaches complement each other.
