San Jose Unified School District OT services are defined by what SJUSD considers educationally necessary, which means many legitimate developmental and sensory needs fall outside what an IEP will cover. Private OT through TheraPeeps is not restricted by that standard. We can address sensory processing, emotional regulation, feeding, fine motor development, and other areas that SJUSD may have identified but cannot fully serve within the IEP framework.
