Pediatric Occupational Therapy in Mountain View, CA

Expert, in-home OT for kids ages 0 to 8, delivered to your Mountain View doorstep by a team that treats the whole child, not just the diagnosis.

Mountain View Families Have a Different Kind of OT Option

No waiting rooms, no commutes, just expert care delivered where your child is most comfortable.

TheraPeeps is a mobile pediatric occupational therapy practice headquartered in Mountain View, CA. We bring therapy directly to your home, your child’s private school, or their daycare, because the best place to build a skill is the place where a child actually needs to use it. Our founder, Brooke Olson OTR/L, built this practice specifically for Bay Area families who want something better than a clinic waiting room and a rotating roster of providers.

Mountain View and the surrounding Peninsula communities are where we do our deepest, most consistent work. When your child sees the same therapist in the same familiar space every week, trust builds faster, and trust is the foundation of every developmental gain we make together.

Developmental Differences We Support in Mountain View Kids

Every child we serve has a unique profile. These are the most common areas we address.

We work with children across a wide range of developmental profiles. Families in Mountain View most often reach out when their child is navigating:

  • Sensory processing differences (hypersensitivity or hyposensitivity to touch, sound, movement, or body awareness)
  • Autism spectrum or pre-diagnosis concerns
  • ADHD and attention regulation challenges
  • Fine and gross motor delays
  • Dysgraphia and handwriting difficulties
  • Feeding aversions and mealtime struggles
  • Emotional dysregulation and frequent meltdowns
  • Developmental delays in self-care and daily living skills
  • Learning differences affecting school readiness and participation

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to reach out. If something feels off in your child’s development and you’re looking for answers, an evaluation is a great place to start.

Why Mountain View Families Choose TheraPeeps

Credentials matter. So does fit. We bring both.

Our team holds certifications that are rare to find in a single practice: SIPT and STAR certification in Sensory Integration, Board Certification in Autism treatment, the SOS Approach to Feeding, DIR/Floortime training, and Safe and Sound Protocol. Combined, our therapists average over 20 years of clinical experience each. That depth means we don’t guess, we assess carefully and build plans grounded in what the evidence actually supports.

Beyond credentials, what makes TheraPeeps different is our developmental, relationship-based approach. We don’t use compliance-driven or rote-repetition methods. We build genuine therapeutic relationships with each child, because children make their biggest developmental leaps when they feel safe, seen, and connected to the person helping them grow.

Transparent Pricing and Out-of-Network Support

Private pay with superbills, we make the insurance process as easy as possible.

TheraPeeps is a private-pay practice. We set our rates to reflect the clinical expertise and personalized attention each family receives, and we don’t compromise that by billing to insurance networks that limit session length or frequency. After each session, we provide a detailed superbill you can submit directly to your insurance carrier for out-of-network reimbursement. Many Bay Area families with PPO plans recover a significant portion of their investment.

Call us at (650) 204-0677 to discuss current rates and find out what your out-of-network benefits might cover. We’re transparent about cost from the first conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. In-home therapy is our primary service model. We travel to your Mountain View home and conduct sessions in the environment where your child lives and plays. This approach helps skills transfer faster and means you never have to navigate traffic or a waiting room.

We serve children from birth through age 8. Early intervention is our specialty, the earlier a child receives targeted OT support, the more developmental ground they can gain. That said, we evaluate each child individually and will be upfront if we feel another service setting would better meet your child’s needs.

If your child is struggling with sensory sensitivities, emotional meltdowns, feeding challenges, fine motor delays, or difficulty with daily routines like dressing and self-care, an OT evaluation can provide real answers. You don’t need a physician referral to schedule with us, though we do coordinate with your child’s medical team when appropriate.

We are a private-pay practice and are not in-network with insurance plans. We provide superbills after every session so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many families with PPO plans receive partial or substantial reimbursement. We recommend calling your insurance provider before your first session to understand your out-of-network OT benefits.

Call us at (650) 204-0677 and we’ll discuss your child’s needs right away. Evaluation availability varies by season, but we work hard to get families in quickly, especially for early intervention cases. Booking online through our portal is also available for families who prefer that route.
