Motor based Dysgraphia

Many kids with a diagnosis of motor based dysgraphia struggle with the fine motor aspect of writing. Their hand hurts when they are writing or they may have an odd pencil grasp. Their fingers don’t have the fine muscle movements needed to form smooth fluid letters. This slows down the process of writing. Occupational Therapists may work on fine motor activities, perceptual or many other concerns. We discover the underlying concerns through an individual assessment. Next, we create specialized activities to improve the speed and fluidity of writing. This helps kids with motor based dysgraphia write neater and without pain!

Check out this video! This activity is fun and helps make fingers stronger.
